We kick off the Taranaki Taste and Tales week with our first ever Little Tales event hosted at Down To Earth Organics.  Meet Lee and her team who will give you a tour of the store, a demonstration of their refilling station and how you can do your bit to reduce waste, as well as a talk about simple ways you can boost your immune system.  Enjoy a glass of bubbles or soft drink, nibbles supplied by local suppliers and a Down To Earth goody bag.

Bumblebee Bakery

Baking your own delicious sourdough bread at home is easy with a good process and a few tricks and hints. Franziska will guide you through the steps and lead you to success. You will work in the bakery, get to know the basic tools and ingredients, care for the starter, mix and shape the dough and learn how to get a fabulous result when baking in your own home oven. While sampling fresh bread there will be plenty of time to ask questions. You will go home with a bread recipe, a sourdough starter, a bread loaf ready to be baked and lots of new knowledge.  An early dinner is included.

You will then have a go kneading the dough and getting it prepared for cooking.  Learn about the best toppings to use, tips on cooking before you prepare and cook your pizza.
