Mike’s started pouring up the road in Urenui in 1989, making them the oldest real craft brewery in New Zealand. In their new venue in the centre of New Plymouth they offer 28 beers on tap and a few ciders.
Three Sisters Brewery
In essence, Three Sisters Brewery is a husband-and-wife team, Joe and Sarah, who brew boutique craft beer in the old TSB Bank building in New Plymouth. Their meticulous approach and respect for quality ingredients produce an exciting range of craft beers that are distinctive, fresh and remarkable. Their staple offerings like Oakura Blonde and Taranaki Gold will have you coming back for more, and watch out for their short-run, seasonal and experimental brews.
