Juno Gin

Juno is the handiwork of husband-and-wife duo Jo and Dave James. They met at primary school in New Plymouth and four years ago, this unassuming couple, left their careers and combined their science backgrounds and passion for gin to start dreaming and experimenting to craft their ideal gin.  Along with the success of their multi-award winning gins, they have recently expanded their distillery to include a beautiful Cellar door where they offer tastings and cocktail events.  Jo and Dave will love to welcome you into their opulent cellar door, give you a tour of their distillery, fill you in on the production process and their love for gin.  They will of course provide you with a tasting of their exquisite gins and explain the different aromatics used to create each variation.

Egmont Honey

Egmont Honey began from humble beginnings. A beehive may seem like an unusual present, but for committed conservationist Toby Annabell, it was perfect. Gifted by his son James back in 2008, this hive sparked a passion for authentic manuka honey and a thriving family business. Fast forward to today James, and the 50+ team, export to over 200 countries and territories around the world, proudly supplying global brands with Pure New Zealand Honey.  Join them for a tour of their factory in Bell Block and tastings with an explanation about the different variations of honey.

Food Hugger Gourmet

For Ricci and Scott travel & food, go hand in hand.   In December 2020, when Covid put plans for their travel design business on hold, they felt a little lost.  They missed not only the destinations they visited but also the many cuisines and good food they enjoyed; a steaming hot chicken tagine in Marrakesh, tapas in Madrid or dark German beer at Oktoberfest.   Then one day they made a batch of apple butter and having a little extra, gave some to friends who soon were asking for more.  In August 2021 they set up a small stand at the Hāwera Saturday Market.  Sales were brisk and by November they had added 5 new chutneys!

They then started playing around with American inspired BBQ Sauces and Rubs and just last year launched a line of mustards!  You never know when taking a simple chance what you can achieve if you have great customers and good products.   You'll enjoy tasting the range as Ricci and Scott fill you in on their journey and the fresh ingredients that goes in.

Blue Petal Botanicals & Connoisseur Honey

Martina of Blue Petal Botanicals, cultivates her herbs on site and uses them to create a variety of  products from culinary and medicinal herb products, to herbal tonics, drinks and honey for nourishment and beauty.    Martina emigrated from Croatia almost 30 years ago and lives on a small farmlet with her husband who she met while working in the Oil and Gas industry.  For the last 20 years they have been planting trees, shrubs, natives, an orchard and now a herb field.  Her background in engineering helped her to turn her hand to working with and distilling herbs, along with her passion for the environment and natural products.   Martina set about learning all she could in this field through completing a one year homeopathy course with herbs, and completed workshops and courses in organic horticulture .  Recently, her husband helped to convert an old milking shed on their property into a beautiful workspace and kitchen, she now offers workshops using herbs from plaited bread, seeded crackers, dukkah and hummus as well as herb infused oils, vinegar and wine.  While visiting Martina you will have a taste of her special mulled wine (perfect for a cold winters day), and try anything from her herb infused honey, freshly baked bread with hummus and dukkah to her speciality herbal tonics.

Little Liberty

Little Liberty, a plant-based creamery, turns the finest natural ingredients into a delicious range of premium plant-based frozen desserts.  It was originally born out of a necessity to find a treat food for a sleep deprived mum, dealing with food allergies, intolerances and dietary restrictions to try and ease her young baby.   Now with new owners, the two friends Rebecca and Peita are thrilled to continue the journey started by the orginal owners.  Their frozen desserts are made with a base of organic cashew nuts, cacao butter and coconut milk. This delicious combination creates a luxuriously creamy foundation from which we lovingly create our ‘ice creams’. Organic products have been used where possible and each and every element carefully considered to deliver decadent sweet treats that are dairy, gluten, soy and egg free by design with absolutely no compromise on taste, texture or quality.   Taste some of their delecatble flavours which include fresh and exquisite sorbets.
